According to investigators, a 12-year-old boy was walking with a friend along the Irtysh River in the village of Mezhdurechye. Suddenly, the sandy slope of the steep bank collapsed directly on the boys.
The child died before the ambulance arrived. The second child managed to get out from under the rubble and called for help from adults. He received minor injuries.
“A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: “Causing death by negligence,” the Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee for the Omsk Region reports.
Investigators are currently looking into the details of what happened.
