As indicated in the explanatory note, the document will amend article 22 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
Thus, employers will be offered to pay for their employees’ travel if the latter do not have the possibility of using public transport. For example, during night shifts, in case of unforeseen situations or when the transport network is not developed.
According to one of the authors of the initiative, deputy Yevgeny Markov, many Russians complain that they often have to call a taxi at their own expense at night.
“At the same time, I would like to remind you that prices for taxi services have increased significantly, so the real income of employees working night shifts is decreasing,” the parliamentarian noted.
He added that this bill aims to eliminate this injustice.
It should be noted that the concept of the bill has already been approved by all-Russian trade union associations and the document itself has been finalized taking into account the position of the Russian Tripartite Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations.
