The fire signal came on Saturday afternoon from Montazhnikov Street; An apartment on the sixth floor of a residential building was burning. Due to the heavy smoke, people could not go out to the entrance. To evacuate, rescuers needed ladders.
“Firefighters from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived and evacuated three residents from the upper floors, two of them using the fire escape. Unfortunately, in the apartment where the fire broke out, two people were found without signs of life : a man and a woman,” the department reported.
The fire area was 40 square meters, the cause of the fire is currently being established. The four-story apartments suffered various damages.
