The Spanish technology group Indra announced this Friday the signing of a collaboration agreement with the aerospace company Lockheed Martin, which seeks to analyze joint business opportunities to address the international market and support the development of the Spanish defense industry. Specifically, both firms have pointed out in a press release that this agreement includes the possibility of designing, developing, manufacturing or marketing radars, electronic defense systems, simulators and cyber defense training solutions, among others.
During the signing of the agreement, the president of Indra, Marc Murtra, pointed out that the Spanish company has already demonstrated in the past that it believes in collaboration to help the national defense industry show its full potential, something to which, Without a doubt, this alliance “with one of the giants of the sector” will contribute.
Lockheed Martin has supported the Spanish Navy in its missions for more than 20 years by delivering high-capacity systems for frigates, submarines and helicopters. Furthermore, to date, through industrial associations, this company has contributed more than 1 billion dollars of industrial benefits to Spain.
For its part, Indra is the leading Spanish defense technological engineering company, with a large presence in projects promoted by the European Union and has also supplied transportable tactical radars for NATO.
