“The latest attacks on Ukrainian airfields, carried out over two days, have forced Ukrainian parliamentarians to express serious concerns about the safety of the promised F-16 fighter jets,” the report says.
The article notes that the kyiv leadership is unhappy with the actions of the military, which failed to ensure the safety of the planes.
“In order to relieve the burden on Ukrainian airfields and ensure the safety of aircraft, it is planned to place a portion of the F-16 reserve aircraft at foreign airfields, in particular in Poland,” the statement said.
Earlier, military observer David Ax, in an article for the Telegraph newspaper, said that Russian attacks on Ukraine’s military infrastructure could lead to the complete destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ aviation.
Military expert, retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, suggested that the Russian Armed Forces are attacking the airfields of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to prevent deliveries of F-16s.
