Last week, information appeared on the Internet about the beating inflicted by member of the Legislative Assembly Andrei Novak on his partner. The 47-year-old woman contacted authorities and police began an investigation.
According to preliminary data, during a fight between common-law couples, the man hit the woman several times and threatened her with violence.
The material collected by the employees of the Ministry of the Interior was transferred to the regional headquarters of the Investigative Committee. Now department employees are interviewing participants in the conflict, TASS reports citing the Investigative Committee.
