Anthony Rodd, 39 (son of singer Irina Ponarovskaya), died on September 20, 2024 in Moscow in his apartment on Moscow’s Trifonovskaya Street. Anthony’s wife found him lifeless in the bathroom, called an ambulance, and doctors declared the man dead.
We called Anthony’s wife to express our condolences to Anna Chaynikova and to find out about her husband’s funeral. Anna Chainikova spoke to KP.RU about her husband Anthony Rodd’s funeral: “The farewell will be private. Only for family and friends.”
Anthony’s acquaintances told KP.RU: “They are still discussing in advance the causes of death: a blood clot or acute heart failure.”

Anthony Rodd’s death came as a shock to everyone who knew him. The man had no bad habits or health problems; he led a healthy lifestyle. According to his friends: Anthony drank alcohol only on holidays and in small quantities, and someone says, citing his wife, that he did not drink at all. Irina Ponarovskaya’s son lived with his wife and spent all his free time with his wife and children: 10-year-old Eric, 6-year-old Charlotte. Ponarovskaya and her son had a close relationship: the singer adored and was friends not only with Anthony, but also with his wife, and often came to babysit her grandchildren.

The apartment on Trifonovskaya Street in Moscow, where Anthony died, was inherited by him. According to the unofficial version, the picture of Anthony’s death is reconstructed as follows: he went to take a shower, there he suddenly fell ill, fell and died. The day before the man felt as usual: there were no complaints about his health.
Irina Ponarovskaya, 71, is actively acting, stars in musical TV shows and often comes to Moscow to work and visit her son’s family from St. Petersburg, where she lives.

The 71-year-old honored artist Irina Ponarovskaya adored her son and told us: “I am happy that my son and I have become friends. My son is a jeweler and designer. Although he loves music very much and even writes.” Anthony’s wife, Anna Chainikova, is an illustrator, has her own studio, gives lessons, takes large orders for illustration and advertising companies, and paints pictures. When his wife was working, Anthony enjoyed looking after the children and the couple lived amicably.
