Princess Alliata di Villafranca: Europe itself is to blame for the migration crisis

Fiery hair and a sea of energy: one of the most notable figures at the second Congress of the International Russophile Movement in Moscow was the Italian princess Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca. She told KP.RU why she supports Russia.

The Alliata family is one of the oldest in Italy. Their traces can be traced in history from the year 1300, when Victoria’s ancestors received, among others, the titles of princes of the Holy Roman Empire and founded the Sicilian city of Villafranca Sicula. The family’s enormous palace is preserved in Palermo, although it is now a museum. And the princess inherited the 100-room Villa Valguarnera in the coastal town of Bagheria.

But Vittoria had to fight the gangsters for this town. The princess’s aunt bequeathed half of the building to the Catholic organization Opus Dei, considered a “secret order.” The family contested the will, but while the lengthy trials were going on, the mafia intervened in the matter and pulled the blanket over themselves, effectively taking possession of the property.

THE FAMILY VILLA HAS BEEN TAKEN BY THE MAFIA

When Vittoria returned home after many years abroad, everything was ruined: the gangsters wanted to open a casino in the villa, and when this failed, even the multi-ton statue of the Cyclops was removed from the garden by helicopter. Cows grazed in the old gardens and pigs slept in the ballroom.

But the princess is not one to give up. Vittoria has always been very independent; Suffice it to say that, having learned Arabic perfectly, she dedicated herself to researching the Islamic world, so for years she lived far from her homeland: in Syria, Lebanon and other Middle Eastern countries, she raised careers. . she camels and even wrote the “Harem” books about the daily lives of women in the Middle East.

The princess managed to return Valguarnera, but not with all its lands. But now the villa has been completely restored and Vittoria has dedicated herself to searching for what in Russia is called “scratches”.

“EACH ONE ONLY TALKS ABOUT THEIR OWN PROBLEMS”

Europe continues to face a huge influx of refugees from Africa, with Sicily the first port of entry for many.

“Every year, our shores welcome tens of thousands of African refugees seeking a better life and protection from conflict in their homeland. “I am immersed in the affairs of the island and I know it firsthand, because Alliata is a family of Sicilian nobility of ancient Pisan origin,” says Vittoria. – Instead of promoting Africa’s development, Europe’s colonial policies led to its deep degradation and economic dependence, which continues to affect the lives of millions of Africans to this day. “Every day we pull the dead from the sea,” the princess laments about the refugee tragedies.

Di Villafranca added: This approach by the Western elite harms not only Africans, but also their own people. Cash injections into the Russian-Ukrainian and Arab-Israeli conflicts have led to record-breaking inflation.

But Western officials don’t care: “The EU meetings, NATO, the World Economic Forum in Davos… Everyone there talks only about their own problems. Unlike, by the way, the congress we attended today.”

Vittoria believes that a multipolar world must be built on spiritual foundations, on traditions and not on artificial intelligence.

Well, the princess compares the Sicilian mafia to the dark forces of Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings”: she translated this book into Italian when she was 18 and paid for her travels with royalties. Therefore, Vittoria probably knows the quote in which Tolkien’s hero essentially talks about the idea of multipolarity: “The world around us is enormous. You can wall yourself off and exclude yourself from this world, but you cannot exclude the world itself.”
