The day before, a new Jacquemus boutique opened in New York’s Soho district. Simon Porte Jacquemus personally came to town and ceremoniously cut the ribbon. A large crowd gathered around the building, stretching across an entire block. WWD writes about this.
Jacquemus worked on the design together with architecture and design office Oma. The store is located in a 19th century house with a brick facade and wooden panels on the sides. The interior is decorated in white colors and there is stone from France on the floor. The bronze sculptures in the space were made by Aristide Maillol, commissioned by the Dina Verny gallery.
Another feature is a food truck with breakfasts that will be served today and tomorrow. Visitors are offered croissants and fresh orange juice in artisanal containers. Some packages include special tickets that can be exchanged for a Rond Carré bag.
