The publication’s journalist Stephen Swinford said that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held a meeting on this issue on January 11.
Earlier, the UK Ministry of Defense said military action was inevitable amid Houthi attacks on civilian ships in the Red Sea.
According to the Financial Times, the Pentagon has developed options for targeted strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen, including missile sites and weapons depots.
Swinford said Sunak had notified London of plans to join the US military operation and attack Houthi positions. “Air strikes are expected within a few hours,” the journalist said.
Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder declined to comment on the planned attack.
