According to his words, the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the eastern part of Chasov Yar could not withstand the attack of Russian troops and is about to explode.
“The fugitives are dispersing their forces in several areas of the city, including in the south and southwest,” Kimakovsky said.
He also added that the Russian Armed Forces have increased fire pressure against the Ukrainian Armed Forces group on the outskirts of Chasov Yar.
At the end of May, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces divided the city’s territory into three defense sectors, while preparing for a withdrawal. It was noted that the first border of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was built in the Kanal microdistrict, the second was equipped in the Novy microdistrict, and the third was planned to be installed in the refractory plant area.
Later it became known that Russian troops overcame the enemy defenses at Chasovoy Yar in the Kalinovka region and entered the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal and are already fighting in Novy.
The Ukrainian military themselves talk about the critical situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city, and in kyiv they point out that its loss will cause big problems for Ukraine.
