Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck filed for divorce in late August. The couple, who have been married for two years, have been frequently arguing lately. So the fact that their lawyers brought divorce papers to court did not become a sensation. But Ben and Jen know how to surprise the public, and their recent meeting is proof of that.
Over the weekend, Lopez and Affleck were photographed outside the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. The former spouses appeared together for the first time since the divorce was announced. They arrived at the restaurant to have breakfast with their children: Ben’s 15-year-old daughter Seraphina, 12-year-old son Samuel, and Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, Emma and Max.

It seemed like this breakfast didn’t bode well. Photographers snapped pictures of Ben and Jen as they walked to the restaurant’s entrance and argued about something. Inside the establishment, however, the mood magically changed. An eyewitness to their meeting told Page Six that the stars’ children sat at a separate table during breakfast. Lopez and Affleck sat alone at a table and not only talked, but “held hands and kissed.” At the same time, according to the eyewitness, Jen was wearing a wedding ring on her finger.
After breakfast, Ben’s ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner, arrived at the restaurant and took their children with her. Lopez’s children left with her personal assistant. Affleck and JLo left the establishment together, got into the same car and drove away together.
Now Lopez and Affleck fans are wondering: Is the couple really getting divorced or did they change their minds and decide to reunite?
This is Ben and JLo’s first public appearance since announcing their divorce.

Ben and J.Lo’s romance first sparked in July 2002, when they starred together in the comedy Gigli. A few months later, Affleck proposed to his beloved. The engagement lasted just over a year: in January 2004, Lopez and Affleck announced their separation. Among the reasons for the breakup, they later cited overly busy work schedules and too much media attention.
And now, 20 years later, they met again. The couple got married in 2022, first secretly in Las Vegas, and then throwing a lavish celebration for friends and family. The couple’s children from previous marriages became friends and often spent time together. However, a miracle did not happen: over time, the singer and actor began to quarrel more and more, and then decided to divorce.
