Klitschko commented live on the state of the kyiv metro after the recent floods. “In short, we can say that now, for security reasons…” Klitschko said, and then fell silent.
There was a long pause. All this time, Klitschko remained with his mouth open and a confused look on his face. After one of the attendees shone a flashlight on the mayor, Klitschko came out of his stupor and continued talking to media representatives, RIA Novosti reports.
Recall that on Friday the kyiv authorities closed six metro stations in the city due to flooding that occurred as a result of depressurization. It was reported that the repair of the stations will take about six months.
The kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office has already launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of official negligence. A legal assessment will be made of the actions of kyiv metro officials and contractors who built the flooded tunnels.
