Russian clothing brand Linen Sky partnered with the British Higher School of Design and filmed a summer collection, which became the diploma work of students in the Fashion Film Producer program. Together with the curator of the program, Nina Lobykina, the brand decided to involve young talents who are just gaining knowledge in the fashion industry and help them with graduation work not in theory, but in practice.
Fashion students Daria Krivchenkova and Anna Shtaba, the future producer and stylist, responsibly approached the task – to show how Linen Sky things live in the Moscow summer, in its unpredictable weather, perpetual motion and crazy energy.
“We were very happy when Nina and the BHSAD team approached us with an offer to make such a beautiful and in a way useful story and become a part of more than just a photo shoot. Throughout the day, we were “lucky”: just as we were about to take off our cheerful dresses with open backs, ominous black clouds gathered in the sky. Time was disappearing at an incredible speed and there were still images planned ahead. But it turned out like in a real “adult life”, and not in shooting a thesis,” says Inga Ivanova, founder of Linen Sky.
The shoot featured slip dresses, shirt dresses, palazzo pants, loose-fit shirts, shorts, sports tops, a hand-knitted fine wool sweater, and thick linen and cotton coats. And don’t forget the shopper bag that goes with the makeup bag, the brand’s most popular accessory. The color scheme of the Linen Sky summer collection is presented in warm natural natural tones: white, beige, coral, sandy coffee and dark blue.
