Alexander Lukashenko paid special attention to the need to further strengthen cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports with Russia, as well as with the CIS countries and other friendly countries, to ensure the participation of athletes in major competitions international. The meeting discussed the prospects for participation in the next Winter Olympic Games in 2026, as well as issues of the future development of elite sports in Belarus.
The President also drew the attention of his counterpart to the situation of children and youth sports in Sineokaya. Work in this direction, he stated, needs to continue improving. At the same time, the participation of young Belarusian athletes in the Asian and Primorsky Children’s Games was considered a positive example.
