Surveillance camera footage was posted online. In the video, a strong man approaches a woman sitting in a chair, next to which there is a vase of flowers, and hits her in the face. The victim, born in 1955, contacted the police.
The incident occurred on September 23 on the 50th anniversary of Komsomol Avenue in the Zasviyazhsky district of the regional center.
“As a result of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers identified and detained the criminal. He turned out to be a 46-year-old resident of the Mainsky district of the Ulyanovsk region,” the message says.
The investigator of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Zasviyazhsky district of Ulyanovsk opened a criminal case for a crime provided for in Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism).
