The TVE competition returns to television this Thursday, September 7 with an edition of its Celebrity version. MasterChef welcomes new applicants into its kitchens who will fight to win the title of best chef. On this occasion, the popular talent show will once again feature its popular jury Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera. The trio of judges will thus expand their remuneration, which is added to what they receive for their participation in the original and junior versions of the space produced by Shine Iberia.
The eighth edition of MasterChef Celebrity kicks off on La 1 this Thursday, changing its broadcast day, ready to conquer the audience with new chefs. The actor, screenwriter and director Eduardo Casanova; the Colombian actress Laura Londoño, protagonist of Café con aroma de mujer; the actors Jorge Sanz and Miguel Diosdado; the presenters Toñi Moreno and Tania Llasera; the artist and model Palito Dominguín; the models Blanca Romero and Sandra Gago; the model and content creator Daniel Illescas; the jockey and polo player Álvaro Muñoz Escassi; the businesswoman Genoveva Casanova; the comedy duo Los Morancos, formed by brothers César and Jorge Cadaval; and the former bullfighter Jesulín de Ubrique will fight for victory. On his way, he must convince Pepe Rodríguez, Jordi Cruz and Samantha Vallejo-Nágera of his culinary skills with his best creations.
After eight seasons on the air, MasterChef seeks to engage its audience in a new edition in which its jury will once again be its best talisman. Since the program began in 2013, it has kept the same chefs as judges, three figures who have managed to gain the audience’s affection with a stroke of charisma. Aware of their good talent in front of the cameras, TVE rewards the chefs with a salary that amounts to 10,000 euros per program (120,000 per season, as this Celebrity edition has 12 programs), according to a Public petition on the Portal of Transparency that led to the Council resolution.
The three juries charge the same amount stipulated per program for this MasterChef as what was agreed for its anonymous version. However, the number drops for June, whose programs are of shorter duration. This children’s edition is scheduled to land on La 1’s programming at Christmas.
How much money does the winner of MasterChef Celebrity receive as a prize?
In the anonymous version of MasterChef, the winner gets a prize of 100,000 euros and the publication of his own recipe book. In addition, he receives professional training to expand his cooking knowledge at the prestigious Basque Culinary Center.
The prize for the winner in the celebrity edition is different. In his case, whoever manages to win the title will receive 75,000 euros that he must donate to an NGO. The program allows the winner to decide which charity they want to give the money to.
Who has won MasterChef Celebrity?
Throughout its eight seasons on the air, and waiting to add its eighth winner, MasterChef Celebrity has seven winners. The first of them was the actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz and, after him, six more names were added.
The athletes Saúl Craviotto and Ona Carbonell were the next to join the list, before Tamara Falcó captivated the jury with her creations in the kitchen. Raquel Meroño achieved victory in the fifth edition, before the duo formed by Juanma Castaño and Miki Nadal achieved victory. The last winner so far in this cooking contest has been Lorena Castell in 2022.
