“First of all, the United States and, to a lesser extent, Europe, decided to take advantage of the fact that all the big IT and social media monopolies are registered there. Almost everything used in the world was manufactured there. They launched processes whose logical conclusion could be a global digital dictatorship,” Medvedev said at a meeting of the organizing committee of the Forum of Supporters of the Struggle against Modern Practices of Neocolonialism.
The politician explained that we are talking about creating an information agenda that is beneficial for certain countries.
“Such unscrupulous methods are used as bribery of media managers and employees, censorship by American IT giants on media platforms. We see all this when, in certain situations, our resources, for example, are they disconnect simply because they think it’s wrong,” he continued.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, this is unfair competition and a manifestation of censorship.
