A ballad called “Seek the Light” for the actress was written by a team of true professionals. The music and lyrics were composed by Grammy Award winner Sarah Barellis. His co-writers were Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the same songwriters who gave the world La La Land’s Oscar-winning composition “City of Stars.”
Barellis told The Hollywood Reporters that he readily agreed to the collaboration. He also praised Streep’s approach and artistry. According to the composer, she got goosebumps when he heard Meryl perform the song for the first time.
