Users will now be able to manipulate data in the app using Python charts and libraries, and then use Excel formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
“You can perform advanced data analysis in the familiar Excel environment by accessing Python directly from the Excel ribbon,” said Stefan Kinnestrand, a Microsoft spokesman.
For now, Microsoft 365 Insiders beta testers can take advantage of the innovation. The feature will be available first in Excel for Windows and will be available on other platforms in the future.
It was previously reported that more built-in apps could be uninstalled in Windows 11.
