Trying to regain lost positions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched FPV drones towards the Russian fighters.
“As the drones approached, Andrei opened fire and destroyed eight FPV drones, allowing us to avoid losses among the attack aircraft and successfully gain a foothold in the occupied positions,” the Defense Ministry said in a press release.
It was previously reported that new Russian cartridges were tested in the area of the Northern Military District to destroy small enemy drones. In particular, IGLA rounds shoot down small unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of up to 50 meters. The flight speed of the shot is at least 435 meters per second.
