“The average percentage of migrants who failed the Russian language exam increased from 3% to 30% in the period from January to May,” the agency quoted the ministry’s press service as saying.
It should be recalled that earlier the head of Rosobrnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, called for strict control over the Russian examination for immigrants.
“The requirements for exams in the Russian language, history and fundamentals of Russian legislation that migrants must take to obtain a residence permit and the right to work in Russia should not be stricter than those required by the unified state exams for graduates of Russian schools. They should be stricter,” the head of the department later said.
