“This is great networking with businessmen who talked about what business means, what is important for women and how they can express themselves in business, life and family,” Elena Prokhorova, president of the business wing of the Union of Belarusian Women (BUW), shared the objectives of the international meeting, highlighting that the special objective of the meeting is “collaboration between the social and business sectors.”
At the same time he clarified that the organizers are not faced with the task of concluding contracts on the spot. The goal of the forum is to establish communications and connect interests in the implementation of joint projects, including with participants from the Russian regions.
By the way, currently the BSG has 175,000 registered members, of which only three thousand belong to the business community. “And we want to involve the social sector in the problems and issues of doing business, and maybe encourage someone to form their own business ideas,” predicts the director of the organization. After all, brother countries, he stated, have the same values, and the mentality of the people allows them to unite as much as possible, transmit ideas at the decision-making level, so that successful cases, say, of Russia, can be implemented at home.
By the way, medical sections are widely represented on the forum. First of all, the organizers wanted to focus on the fact that the medical services sector in Sineokaya is stable and progressive. At the same time, Prokhorova explained, the represented public sector does not always have marketing tools for promotion, and the BSG took on this mission.
Olga Khitrova, Deputy Speaker of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma and Head of the Regional Branch of the Russian Women’s Union, also spoke at the forum about the importance and stable prospects of the association. She focused on the development of cooperation between women entrepreneurs and clarified that the meeting in Minsk was a continuation of the dialogue that ended at the beginning of the year in VDNKh with the signing of an agreement between BSZH and YaSZH.
Khitrova is convinced that the women’s business in both countries is very similar. “Both in Belarus and Russia there are state measures to support businesses, and the projects carried out by friends of the women’s movement are also similar,” she summarized.
Observers emphasize that the three-day “Women’s World” forum, held at the Victoria Olimp Hotel business hotel, also aims to convey traditional family values. It includes three blocks: “Beauty and Health”, “Self-development and Self-realization”, “Business: Management and Development”. And its program is replete with thematic sections, presentations, exhibitions and sales of new collections of clothing and accessories from famous brands and young designers, and master classes.
