The regions of both countries contribute to Russian-Uzbek cooperation. Nearly 80 constituent entities of the Russian Federation interact directly with their partners from the republic. And in May, the first meeting of the Council of Regions was held with the participation of the presidents.

Mikhail Mishustin assured the head of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Russian government reported, that Moscow values ​​strong cultural and humanitarian ties with Tashkent.
