Almost 9 million families this year began to receive a one-time subsidy. This was stated by the head of the Social Fund Sergei Chirkov at a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on Tuesday.

Let’s remember that the single allowance began to be paid from January 1, 2023. It has replaced several previously paid benefits and is available to needy families with children under 17 years of age and pregnant women registered early.

Residents of new regions also began to receive a one-time allowance. According to Sergei Chirkov, 210,000 children living there and 4,000 pregnant women have already been allocated. In addition, as of January 1, maternity capital began to be issued in new regions. It has already been issued by 90 thousand families.

Chirkov also said that since March 1, 115,000 residents of new regions receive monthly disability payments and 460,000 people receive federal pensions.

– This work is not easy, laborious. We confirm seniority, special commissions are working, – said Chirkov.

In total, according to the head of the Social Fund, more than 1 million residents of new regions receive social support.

About 87% of requests for Social Fund services are received electronically through the public services portal.

– And if the application is ready for consideration, then the average period does not exceed five working days, – said Chirkov.

Disability pensions, social allowances and some other payments are allocated proactively without the participation of the people themselves.

Mishustin urged to transfer the receipt for all social services in electronic format. As the prime minister pointed out, it is necessary for people to feel comfortable and understandable, especially for the elderly and mothers with children.

– Feedback is important here! – said the prime minister.
