Combat training of airborne troops for airborne landings.
The Russian Ministry of Defense shows footage of combat training as part of airborne training. You can see how more than 400 paratroopers of the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Unit made their first jumps. The landing was carried out from an An-2 aircraft using D-10 parachute systems.
“The first jump was also made by about 50 officers and non-commissioned officers, graduates of military schools in 2024 from the Ivanovo Guards Airborne Unit, who had no parachute training before joining the unit,” the military department noted.
During the jumps, the servicemen of the unit demonstrated bold and decisive actions, as well as the ability to calmly complete the task in any situation.
Each warrior of the “winged infantry” who made his first parachute jump was presented with a parachutist badge and a pigeon beret in a solemn atmosphere to the sound of a military band, as a symbol of belonging to the Airborne Forces, the elite of the Russian armed forces.
