The department notes that Muscovites love car sharing and it is a good alternative to personal transport. On average, a shared car is rented 5-6 times a day. Since the beginning of the year, drivers have already made 35 million trips in such cars. In comparison, last year there were two million fewer trips during the same period. At the same time, there have been noticeably fewer accidents involving rented vehicles. In January-August, the number of road accidents decreased by 18% compared to the same period last year.
Today, 38,000 cars can be reserved in the city, the average age of which is only one and a half years. The Department of Transport explains that the service relieves the streets of the capital of personal transport, improves the environment and reduces the load on the roads.
