According to him, Federal Law No. 197 will come into force in the autumn, which for the first time at federal level introduces uniform requirements for the installation of photo and video recording systems in the event of traffic violations.
Fedyaev noted that now decisions on installing traffic police cameras can be made by the authorities of the region through which the road passes, as well as its owners, coordinating this step with the State Traffic Inspectorate.
Earlier, it was proposed to increase the number of cameras at railway crossings. The Ministry of Transport is preparing amendments to the government resolution on this matter. It was noted that video recording equipment at the crossing will become mandatory if at least one accident occurs within three years.
