It was reported earlier that the final decision of the Muftiate of Dagestan on the local ban on wearing the niqab will be made after studying examples of such a ban described in Sharia law. This was stated by Deputy Mufti of the Republic Abdulla Salimov.
The evening before, the Fatwa Department of the Muftiate of Dagestan reported that after studying the Sharia texts, it had not found sufficient grounds to introduce a general ban on wearing niqabs. At the same time, the introduction of local and temporary bans justified by weighty reasons is not excluded.
