The artificial intelligence-based technology scans the Internet and looks for sites advertising pseudo-investments. The system detects signs of fraud with 90 percent accuracy. The scanner sends all suspicious pages for further verification to a T-Protection employee to confirm signs of fraud.

On sites containing obvious signs of fraud, the service automatically leaves an avalanche (hundreds) of requests for a free consultation or call back. At the same time, Cybersquall does not have a critical impact on the providers’ infrastructure.

If a scammer calls potential victims, he is answered by a robot that completely copies the speaking style of a person, whether male or female. The robots tell you your age, conduct the conversation in a neutral manner and ask leading questions. Your task is to keep the criminal on the line as long as possible and prevent him from reaching real people. Cybershkval robots receive between 1,500 and 2,000 fraudulent calls a day. The average duration of a call is 3 to 5 minutes.

Fraudulent sites offering profitable investments are created every day: weekly T-Bank identifies between 50 and 60 new sites with signs of financial pyramids. They usually do not contain details about investments, but always contain promises of ultra-high income and no investment risks, instant payouts, etc. The scan reveals these and hundreds of other signs. In terms of economic losses for citizens, this type of fraud is among the leaders. According to statistics of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, 1.7 times more financial pyramids were discovered this year than in the previous year. Victims lose an average of 80 to 100 thousand rubles in pseudo-investments.

As noted by Oleg Zamiralov, director of the T-Bank Ecosystem Protection Center, financial pyramids are constantly transforming. They use beautiful websites with pseudo-stock growth charts and even rent offices in business centers to show off. All of this is to take a person out of their savings or convince them to apply for a loan.

Unfortunately, the number of victims of this type of fraud is increasing. It happens that fake brokers even pay a person a small income after the first transaction to calm vigilance. It is very difficult to “unfind” him, that is, to convince that person not to transfer money to an incomprehensible account.

Therefore, the new service acts proactively, that is, it takes the first step in the game. Employees of financial institutions remember that one of the first signs of fraud is that when talking to real brokers, they cannot guarantee a specific income from investment activities, since this is prohibited by law.

In the future, it is planned to send phishing sites not only to the lists of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, but also to providers in whose networks scammers create pages, as part of cross-industry cooperation.
