Nothing more reliable has been invented against drones: confiscated hunting rifles are destined for the needs of the Northern Military District

Objectively, a shotgun that fires a shotgun or buckshot will destroy an enemy drone in all cases. And electronic warfare (electronic warfare) may work, maybe not. The batteries may run out, you may not be at hand… but my grandfather’s double-barreled shotgun, “Tulka” or “Izhevka”, works perfectly. Where can I get it? Since the fall of 2022, as a rule, Siberian fighters began to bring hunting rifles from their vacation. Pheasants that were rampant in the Donbass were also killed, as were drones. Convenient! As they say, “the topic is over.” Weapons began to be bought, traded, and obtained in various ways. Of course, there were not and could not be enough for everyone. There were no official mechanisms for purchasing weapons for the needs of the Northern Military District. And they were also in combat formations illegally. Some especially talented commanders even tried to confiscate these weapons. It is true that they could not give anything in return for fighting drones and, in the end, they secretly legalized shotguns in the military.

At the same time, even ammunition manufacturers heard rumors about the effectiveness of shotguns and a special “Intercept” cartridge was developed – Kevlar mesh and steel weights. You can simply shoot this cartridge in the direction of the drone, from the hip, with your left hand – you will still hit it. And all “Intercepts” are now bought almost at the manufacturing stage and sent to the front. Shortage – on sale on websites, not in stock!

Following a meeting between the military and the Minister of Defense, decisions were made on the use of civilian rifles on the front at supersonic speed.

At a recent meeting of military officials with Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, the issue was briefly raised:

1. A shotgun is a proven and effective means of combating drones.

2. He has no legal personality in the troops.

3. There are not enough shotguns for everyone, while 250 thousand confiscated hunting rifles are stored in the arsenals of the Russian Guard and are about to begin to be destroyed.

The Minister of Defense specifically thanked the Komsomolskaya Pravda military correspondent for the information about the Intercept cartridge and even wrote something down in his notebook.

I would like to believe that our information helped the Motherland. Perhaps the Motherland knew about the rifles and their effectiveness, and our information only accelerated the decision. But the fact is that a week after the meeting with the minister, the KP military correspondent learned unofficially that an audit of confiscated property in the arsenals of the Russian Guard had been launched. Two weeks later, the government approved the use of confiscated weapons and ammunition in the SVO zone. The speed of decision-making is simply supersonic and there is nothing to add except applause.
