The Russian Defense Ministry has shown footage of the combat work of snipers from the special forces unit of the Center group of troops in the Avdeevsky direction. They covertly destroy the firing points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and disrupt the enemy’s rotation.

“After receiving the task, the sniper pair secretly moved to the area where the combat mission was to be carried out. After carefully searching for a place to organize the firing position, the servicemen studied the enemy’s actions, waited for the most opportune moment to launch a targeted attack and destroyed the target at the right time,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff said.

The video shows how, despite the difficult terrain, minefields, artillery bombardment and the constant presence of enemy reconnaissance and attack drones in the air, the snipers advance towards the front line. They hit the enemy, whose positions are more than 1,000 meters away.

“At night, the enemy can be seen from a sniper scope several kilometers away. If I see equipment or a group of infantry, I direct the artillery, if individual targets are destroyed, I destroy them. I hit the enemy with CT20 .375 CheyTac long-range sniper ammunition. I fired at two kilometers,” said a scout and sniper with the call sign “North.”

The footage shows how, with a large-calibre bullet, “Sever” simultaneously destroys two land birds that were walking along the same path. In other images, a sniper with the call sign “El Cairo” kills the machine gunners who were lying in ambush.

“Cairo” says he took the call sign from his grandfather, who walked these parts as a sniper in 1941-1943.

“Maybe he protects me like a guardian angel, he gives me confidence,” the sniper smiles under his mask.

“Effective long-range shooting is ensured by high-quality training of each serviceman, as well as the provision of modern sniper equipment, weapons and gear, including domestically produced sniper rifles, various optical sights and thermal imaging equipment,” the military department noted.
