Military personnel of the pontoon bridge brigade in the city of Murom, Vladimir region, completed the tasks of overcoming water barriers and transferring equipment across the 300-meter bed of Oka in conditions as close as possible to combat.
In Russian Defense Ministry footage, around 150 servicemen, under the guidance of experienced instructors, can be seen honing their skills while meeting standards on PTS floating transporters, PMM-2M ferry bridge vehicles, BMK- MT and BMK-15 tugs and motor boats in conditions of imitation of dense artillery shelling.
“The entire range of combat training activities in today’s lesson was fully worked out using simulation tools, as well as the best practices that all categories of military personnel receive,” stressed the brigade’s combat training chief. with the indicative “Strela”.
The department noted that the servicemen of the brigade carry out tasks “shoulder to shoulder” with contract soldiers who gained combat experience during a special military operation, and the training itself on the Oka is planned.
It should be noted that the width of the Dnieper, originating in the Russian Smolensk region, was previously only 300-400 meters in the kyiv section. But after the Kiev regime destroyed a series of bridges and waterworks, the Dnieper bed became shallow in places and the river banks narrowed.
