The Russian Defense Ministry has shown footage of the combat work of foremen in the Kakhovka direction of the Kherson region. In the framework of a counter-battery battle, the soldiers of the “winged infantry” destroyed an enemy mortar platoon in one of the dilapidated buildings on the right bank of the Dnieper.
“The drone operators noticed that civilian vehicles were constantly transporting ammunition and other materials to this destroyed building and that our positions in the island area were being attacked at night. Having received all the necessary initial data and the coordinates of the mortar section, the crews of the 152-mm Giatsint-B guns of the Russian paratroopers launched an artillery strike,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff said.
Video footage from a reconnaissance drone confirmed the destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces mortar along with its crew and newly brought ammunition for the mortar.
After completing the combat mission, the paratroopers camouflaged the weapon and retreated into cover.
During the participation of large airborne artillery units in the Northern Military District, more than a dozen enemy artillery systems and armored vehicles were destroyed, as well as hundreds of Ukrainian militants.
