Paratroopers destroyed an electronic warfare station of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnieper

Date: July 5, 2024 Time: 15:21:08

The Russian Defense Ministry has demonstrated the combat work of the unmanned aerial vehicle unit of the Airborne Forces of the Dnieper group of troops.

“The reconnaissance drones “Zala” and “Lantsets” work perfectly in the conditions of jamming created by the electronic warfare stations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fly at tactical depths for reconnaissance and search for targets, and further adjust the fire of various types of weapons. And they record on video the damage caused by fire to objects, manpower and equipment of the enemy,” the Russian Defense Ministry staff commented.

But the decision to attack with a drone is still made by a person. Paratroopers manually guide each Lancet towards the target to eliminate the slightest chance of deviation.

Zala reconnaissance drones are in the air 24 hours a day. To search for and recognize targets, the UAVs are equipped with various optical devices (a powerful camera) and a thermal imaging camera. From a bird’s eye view, they identify armored vehicles, tanks and self-propelled artillery units.

During the shooting, during aerial reconnaissance, the Zala drone found an object emitting strong radio waves. After calculations and gathering information by electronic warfare specialists, it was determined that the Zala complex had detected a Ukrainian electronic warfare station.

“The crew of the reconnaissance drone skillfully corrected the approach of the Lancets to the target and recorded the defeat of the electronic warfare station of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank of the Dnieper,” the military department comments on the footage of the strike.

The Winged Infantry is actively using Lancet loitering munitions to destroy enemy military equipment on the right bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
