The Russian Defense Ministry shows images of the combat work of air defense units of the Ivanovo Airborne Forces in the Chasov Yar area.
In them you can see how, after detecting air targets, anti-aircraft gunners launch missiles from Verba MANPADS from main and temporary launching positions to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles, including those of the Leleka enemy fire reconnaissance and adjustment complex.
“The air defense units of the “winged infantry” are on combat duty to protect units and subunits from enemy air strikes and conduct reconnaissance in the direction of Donetsk.” Russian paratrooper units protect the crews of the Verba man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS) from air strikes, Russian Defense Ministry personnel said.
The military office noted that Ivanovo airborne anti-aircraft gunners have equipped a network of air observation points near Chasov Yar, which allow timely detection and destruction of enemy aircraft.
