Combat work of the “Osa” crews
The Russian Defense Ministry shows images of the combat work of the crew of the Osa-AKM anti-aircraft missile system of the Dnieper airborne force group. Missile launchers monitor the sky and confidently destroy any air targets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The crews of the Osa air defense system of the anti-aircraft missile regiment of the Guards large air assault unit are on duty 24 hours a day in their area of responsibility and perform air cover missions for command posts and artillery of the formation of the Airborne Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper,” commented personnel from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The military department notes that during combat operations, crews often destroy drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that carry out aerial reconnaissance and adjustments. In the images you can see how missile launchers shoot down two reconnaissance drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The specific equipment of the Osa anti-aircraft missile system makes it possible to detect and destroy small-sized enemy reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of more than 10 km,” says the commander of the air defense missile system, with the call to sign ” Kapel”.
The commander of the crew with the call sign “Nemo” clarifies that the Osa air defense system is equally good at shooting down both the Ukrainian “Furies” and “Leleki”, as well as more important air targets.
“We’ve already lost count,” Commander Nemo laughs.
The Russian Defense Ministry highlighted that the crew of the Osa air defense system, commanded by Nemo, has been working since the beginning of the special military operation. It works without losses and hits the enemy without missing.
