People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Svetlana Druzhinina, actress, director and screenwriter, commented on reports of her hospitalization.
In particular, Telegram channels wrote that the actress was in intensive care due to cancer.
“I was buried two years ago. I work and live normally. Leave me alone,” the artist said in a comment to Gazeta.Ru, suggesting “spreading not a rumor, but a refutation.”
Svetlana Druzhinina was born in 1935. She graduated from the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet School and the acting and directing departments of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. She made her screen debut as an actress in 1955. As a director, she is known primarily for the “Midshipmen” film series.
