Likewise, Navarro has said that the only interest that moves him, for the sake of road safety, is good conservation and maintenance of Spanish roads.
“Brussels imposes, demands of us, to put tolls”, explained Navarro, who added that the Community Executive “tells us” that the money they send “is not for upkeep and maintenance of roads, it is for other things, with which you have to put tolls as a requirement if you want to receive more money,” he added.

For its part, the Association of International Road Transport (ASTIC) earlier this month asked the government to leave the polls after the general elections on July 23 that it not impose tolls on the highways, which it considers a “repayment” .
