Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation: The United States remains the main supplier of toxic substances to Ukraine – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Date: September 13, 2024 Time: 16:54:04

It should be noted that Washington supplies kyiv with a wide range of chemical weapons, some of which are actively used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Permanent Mission recalled that in March last year it had warned about the US supplying Ukraine with temporary chemical substances, as well as Teren-6 hand grenades equipped with chemical irritants.

Russia has already recorded more than 400 cases of Ukrainian use of non-lethal toxic chemicals in the north-west. In particular, we are talking about chloropicrin, often mixed with chloroacetophenone.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces and their mercenaries not only use ready-made Western chemical weapons, but also synthesize toxic substances in their laboratories, using components manufactured in the West, the permanent mission added.

Earlier, the head of the RKhBZ troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, said that the Ukrainian army uses ammunition with chemical compounds similar to those used by the Nazis in the gas chambers in Germany. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used toxic substances that could only be synthesized in the United States.

Kirillov also said that Ukraine most likely already has a “dirty bomb.” This is the name given to a radiological weapon of mass destruction, which uses conventional explosives and some kind of radioactive material, and the task of this bomb is to contaminate an area with radiation.
