… – Dmitry Sergeevich, head of the State Duma Committee on Legislation, Krasheninnikov, told a Kremlin journalist that the State Duma is preparing laws, two at once, that will protect citizens’ votes from fraud. That is, we are talking about scammers who call and use AI (artificial intelligence) to imitate the voices of people, including famous ones, and now this will be criminally punishable. What do you think about this initiative of the deputies? Have you or your colleagues ever had to deal with scammers who call, introduce themselves as some kind of acquaintance and discuss something with you?
The Komsomolskaya Pravda journalist suggested that the Kremlin’s official representative discuss this issue on Tuesday, September 17.
“Unfortunately, I had to (crash. – AG),” Peskov said. – These technologies are actively used by criminals for criminal purposes.
Therefore, of course, taking responsibility for this is an absolutely logical step that should be taken as quickly as possible.
On the other hand, I am not aware of any technologies that currently exist that can technically protect people against such attackers.
So far, as far as I know, these technologies have not yet been invented. Well, probably the specialists are doing the right job.
– Thank you.
