British designer Peter Copping has become the new creative director of Lanvin. He previously held similar positions at Oscar de la Renta and Nina Ricci and headed Balenciaga’s haute couture atelier. WWD writes about this.
Copping will officially begin operations in September. “Jeanne Lanvin was a visionary of her time, her interests and passions went far beyond fashion, just like mine. “It is a great honor to be chosen as creative director of Lanvin and, together with the brand’s atelier and team, to write a new chapter in the history of the iconic house,” commented Peter.
We remember that Valentino has confirmed the appointment of Alessandro Michele to the position of creative director of the fashion house.
