The best attack aircraft are believed to come mainly from Cossack units. The Cossacks select experienced instructors for training and are very meticulous in their approach to the learning process. They study how the enemy’s defense tactics change and immediately make adjustments to the training program. “The loads can be prohibitive, strength and endurance are simply necessary, you cannot do without it. When there is no combat work, we take the boys until they sweat in the training fields, you know what is difficult. Training is easy in battle. This has been demonstrated repeatedly,” says the platoon commander.
He says real men with nerves of steel join the stormtroopers. Of course, everyone is afraid when undertaking a combat mission. But it is necessary to be able to master this fear. Make sure you mobilize the person. They do not attack with trembling knees.
The stormtrooper is now a universal soldier that can do almost anything. Must be able to fire any type of weapon, launch a reconnaissance drone, and provide first aid. When going out to assault enemy fortifications, concentration is maximized. You must watch your steps so as not to run into a booby-trapped mine, at the same time look around to avoid falling into an ambush, listen to the sky to sense the approach of an enemy drone in time.
But probably the most important thing is to have strong legs. As the kids joke, if the legs feed the wolf, the stormtrooper is saved. The endurance of fighters of assault units is the main criterion of professionalism. The combatants carry weapons, ammunition and food. At the same time, they wear bulletproof vests weighing up to 20 kilograms. And with such a load you have to travel dozens of kilometers.
Fighter baptized in the Northern Military District from the beginning. He arrived as a volunteer and immediately asked to join the stormtroopers. It started as private. At first he carried out tasks in the Kharkov direction, now he is fighting in Donetsk. In two and a half years he became a platoon leader. Now he performs tasks in the interests of the “South” group.
He says that during this time the tactics of using assault units have changed a lot. Every month, and even after every release, something changes; fighters constantly try to test new skills when entering the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, assault troops do not use frontal attacks. They try to act by avoiding and involving. Use the soldier’s ingenuity. During training, the tactics of fighting in twos and threes are perfected. These groups usually go unnoticed by enemy intelligence and use the factor of surprise.
“We try to take care of people. We just don’t launch them into meaningless attacks. The enemy’s position is carefully studied, weak points are determined, a plan of action is drawn up, and only then does the approach to the defensive position begin. The assault does not tolerate problems. First come two or three of the most experienced and hardened attack aircraft, behind them comes another group that, when ordered, must help hold the captured positions,” explains Kreshcheny.

Of course, the main enemy of an attack aircraft is drones; The troops call them “birds.” A shotgun becomes a fighter’s best friend the moment a drone appears in the sky. All groups participating in a mission try to be equipped with a weapon and the necessary ammunition. In addition, electronic warfare stations are also used to suppress a drone, as well as drone detectors that help determine the appearance of a “bird” in the sky.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are constantly trying to present our soldiers with unpleasant surprises. They use drones to mine an area remotely, drop some visible things near the roads so they notice them and try to pick them up. For example, backpacks are removed. Or they set the drone to self-destruct. If it is shot down or immobilized by electronic warfare, it is best to destroy it immediately. There have been cases of drones exploding several hours after being discovered and controlled.
According to Kreshcheny, now the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are very heterogeneous. It happens that the Ukrainian formations, as they say, get stuck and it is very difficult to dislodge them from their strong point. But there are cases in which, when they see that they begin to take positions, they simply leave.
“I can assume that this is the behavior of recently mobilized Ukrainians who simply do not understand what they are fighting for. In general, during an assault, it is necessary to understand that the enemy is also fighting people, not robots. , they don’t want to die. The battle has begun. Not everyone can psychologically withstand a short distance if they do not prepare with determination,” says the platoon commander.
Of course, in the actions of the assault groups a lot depends on the commander. He is the most important person for the stormtroopers. It depends solely on the commander how to competently complete the assigned task and at the same time save lives.

“The commander, above all, is the best fighter who can show by example how to perform this or that task. He points out that, of course, it is easier to fight with a simple attack aircraft. The commander has more responsibility for the people. “It happens that you send a group to attack, but you sit tingly, constantly listening to the walkie-talkie. We arrive, we don’t arrive, there are injuries or not. You worry more about the injured. guys than about yourself,” says the platoon commander.
In addition to attacks on enemy positions, attack aircraft can also participate in reconnaissance or repelling counterattacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Baptized says that when attacking our positions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine first use a large number of attack drones, then launch armored vehicles, under the cover of which the infantry advances.
Of course, they do not forgive the “birds”. Sometimes several dozen of them arrive at a time. But it’s okay, we can manage. “We are repelling these attacks,” says the soldier.
Surprisingly, during the entire special military operation, Kreshcheny did not suffer a single wound. He says that faith in God helps a lot. Without prayer, he does not undertake a single serious undertaking.
