Askeri Gallery founder Polina Askeri will conduct an author’s tour of the exhibition My Blooming Soul by artists Alexei Golovin and Anna Sladkova. All funds raised will go to helping people after a stroke and to developing programs of the ORBI Foundation.
The exhibition is dedicated to the power of the connection between man and nature. The works of Sladkova and Golovin are radically different: Anna describes the natural world as gentle, refined and soft. And Golovin’s flowers, created with self-tapping screws, seem at first glance unyielding, strong and a little rough. Thus, feminine and masculine energies are combined in the visualization of symbolism, understandable and familiar to everyone since the Middle Ages.
“The mission of the ORBI Foundation is to reduce the number of strokes and the severity of their consequences. The most effective way to combat stroke is to prevent it, but unfortunately, in the rush of everyday worries we often forget about ourselves. Art helps us remember the value of life and the transience of time. We are sure that this is the beginning of long-term cooperation,” says Ekaterina Milova, Director of the ORBI Foundation.
