Paris signed the capitulation on March 31, 1814. Immediately, Alexander I ordered the bombardment of the city to stop. At 7 a.m., according to the terms of the agreement, the French regular army left the French capital.
At noon, the Russian and Prussian guards, led by Emperor Alexander Pavlovich, triumphantly entered Paris. The Cossack regiment bivouacked on the Champs Elysées. The Cossacks accompanied Napoleon to the island of Elba.
