Secondly, as I understand it, the IRGC leadership is now facing its counterintelligence, which could not guarantee the secrecy of the meeting held in the consulate building. It is not entirely clear how such a representative meeting took place in this poorly protected place, and not at home, where there were many other diplomatic missions around and therefore information about what was happening could be leaked. And this is a serious issue that will be analyzed.
The quick reaction of the United States and its guarantees of non-involvement in the death of the IRGC generals are interesting. Everyone has long understood that when Americans open their mouths, they should immediately grab their pockets and, a priori, not believe in anything. But, on the other hand, it should be noted that, although there is practically no direct communication between countries on many issues, and if it occurs, it is mainly on humanitarian issues, the connection between them still remains. For this there is at least one diplomatic representative of Iran to the UN in New York. And, as I note, lately Washington and Tehran have constantly agreed and this information has been leaked to the Iranian media.
The Americans, for example, asked not to expand combat zones, not to participate directly in hostilities, etc. Therefore, Washington, in general, was not really interested in escalation, which is what it reported. At least the current administration is not interested. And here I am even willing to believe them. What can I not say about globalist, I emphasize, globalist, non-national London?
The globalists use approximately the same strategy against Iran as against Russia: they are organizing several fronts, including internal ones. Iran’s opponents are banking on terrorist attacks, societal destabilization and unrest. This country is truly multiethnic, complex and in its life, as in the life of any large and ancient country with strategic depth, there are factors that threaten stability. Both inside and at the borders.
Speaking of borders, we must remember the recent past: the events in Karabakh. When Israel, despite the fact that on the one hand it received weapons from the United States, on the other hand transferred its own weapons under contracts to Azerbaijan. And because of this, weapons have accumulated in abundance in the region. It seems to me that the globalists are seriously counting on opening a front in Transcaucasia, which cannot but affect Iran. And, it seems, an attack on the embassy in Damascus could accelerate events.
But it seems to me that they also make mistakes by incorrectly calculating society’s reaction. If they thought that the assassination of the IRGC generals would overshadow the structure itself, they would prefer to have the opposite effect. Yes, the IRGC is, in a sense, a state within a state that has assumed too many functions, powers, influence and power. And that is why the attitude towards them had many nuances in society. There was both skepticism and irony. Believe me, there is a civil society in Iran and the Iranians themselves are proper, normal and kind people. But the reputation of the IRGC among the people was declining in the face of certain events.
However, after the participation of the IRGC in the events in Syria, in the fight against ISIS (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation – RG note) and subsequent events, the reverse process began. And a blow to the IRGC generals will only increase the authority of the body. Even young people skeptical of the Ayatollah’s regime, sixteen-year-old boys, perceive this as an insult and an insult.
