Shortly before his death, Liam Payne announced a new chapter in his career

Liam Payne’s career began in 2008, when he was only 14 years old. He attempted to enter the fifth season of the British talent show X Factor. It didn’t work out then, but he didn’t give up and returned two years later, receiving four “yeses” out of four. Liam initially planned to sing solo, but ended up supporting the judges’ idea of teaming up with other contestants. This is how the group One Direction was created, which, in addition to Payne, included Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
Despite the fact that the team only took third place in the project finals, it quickly gained wide popularity. Within a couple of years, the boy band had millions of fans around the world and videos for their songs garnered billions of views. And then it began: world tours, filming of his own films, nominations and victories in various awards.
Liam Payne himself has repeatedly confirmed that during the heyday of his team it was difficult for him to refrain from abusing alcohol, however, as the singer assured, he managed to recover. He even wrote One Direction’s latest albums. His 2014 Where We Are tour grossed more than $280 million.
Everything changed a year later, when one of its members, Zayn Malik, left the team. As a result, in 2016, the remaining artists of the group announced a “hiatus” and began working solo.
Liam Payne also started working on his songs, and even did well, but he still didn’t live up to his former colleagues. In recent years, Payne has fallen off the radar and hasn’t received any major hits.
Earlier this year, Liam decided to restart his career. The singer cleaned up his publications on social networks, where more than 27 million people followed him, and published a post in which he announced a “new chapter.” In March, Payne even released his first song in many years, which attracted very modest listeners. After futile attempts to advance the work, Liam disappeared again. Last night the news of his death broke.
