According to experts, the benefits of using Sber’s artificial intelligence in the Far East by 2030 will amount to about 700 billion rubles. The neural network and other technical innovations are designed to improve business performance, simplify the entry of foreign companies into the Russian market, and also increase the level of service to the population. This was stated by First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sberbank PJSC Alexander Vedyakhin at the IX Eastern Economic Forum.
According to the expert, the main regions that will be driving the introduction of AI in the Far East will be Sakhalin, Yakutia and Primorsky Krai. The first deputy chairman of the board of directors of Sber is confident that the advantages of using neural networks and new developments far outweigh the disadvantages.
“For example, everyone uses mobile phones and is unlikely to give them up, even though scammers operate through them. The question is not the technology, but how to use it. Sber AI itself helps fight scammers by filtering such calls and calculating the scammers’ numbers. Often, a robot will connect to talk to them and many will completely lose interest in the call.”
It is impossible not to mention another development of the company – GigaChat. The neural network generates answers to any question and is able to create creative texts and images. Unlike many programs, there is a free version. The intelligent neural network was launched in test mode last year.
“We are currently working with approximately 6,000 clients, which is a good starting point. We believe that the number of users will increase significantly. In fact, for companies this is a powerful boost to productivity – depending on the process, it increases by 20-30%. This is a significant saving,” said Alexander Vedyakhin.
During the Sber business session “Chinese business in Russia: new horizons and advantages of localization,” the expert also spoke about a new application for entering the Russian market, developed specifically for foreign partners. Considering that trade turnover with the Celestial Empire is constantly increasing and part of the Far Eastern territories are located very close to the border, this is extremely important.
“Difficulties arise due to administrative barriers; it is also not always possible to find a reliable partner, to understand individuality and other characteristics. The language barrier and cultural difference have an impact. But the level of international cooperation is improving. We have currently identified 9,500 projects with Chinese participation, last year it was 7,500, the number of companies is growing and this is good news. As we promised at the last WEF session, we have prepared a guide for foreign colleagues on how to enter our market. Here are the features of taxation, economic zones and investment principles,” the expert concluded.
Foreign businessmen also took part in the meeting. They said that the Russian market is attractive for Chinese companies, and many have already established long-term relationships.
