Already at a very advanced age, Oleg Mamalyga took an active part in the design of the Iskander-M, which in fact became a new missile system, although it bore the same name. In 2006, the Iskander-M was put into service. Today it is the best mobile operational-tactical missile system in the world. By the way, the hypersonic “Dagger” was created on its basis.
