“Accept the proposal of the Government of the Russian Federation to sign an agreement,” the head of state ordered. “Consider it appropriate to sign the agreement provided for in this decree at the highest level.”
The creation of a common market in the energy sector was discussed during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin in May this year.
This international treaty establishes the legal basis for the formation, operation and development of the united electricity market of the Union State, regulates relations related to the purchase and sale of electricity between market participants.
It was previously reported that the single energy market will be launched on January 1, 2025, and a single EAEU energy market is planned to be created in 2027.
